Loch Beoraid and a beautiful day

At long last a walk with Colin, Kath and Andrew to a spot I "discovered" on Boxing Day. I was really keen to return with friends - particularly as Colin had risen to the challenge of finding this spot by the grid reference I had sent him on my original visit. The day was perfect - blue sky, gentle breeze, with this magnificent view above the point where the path splits and one route descends steeply through the birch-clad cliffs and the boulders hiding one of Prince Charles' many caves. Apologies to Kath's feet, which got a bit "grumpy" on the wet, slidey mud.
One day I should like continue over and down to Meoble and the shores of Loch Morar beyond. Any takers?

Just Meg and me on Monday morning.

I know this is stretching a point but I am walking with a friend! And Meg has been with me before but got left off the bottom of the picture. Not this time! Here we are in my favourite bit of woodland - coppiced chestnut, birch and sitka make for an unusual mix - only a mile or so from the house. We shared our space this morning with larks, sparrowhawk, Red Kite and many other happy sounds.
