Number 36 On our bikes ...
Thursday 7th June. Jean was keen to try her new "hybrid" bike out off-road so she and I drove out to Nairn to take the bikes along the multitude of tracks in Culbin Forest. We came back with suitably muddied bikes and a desire to do more of the same. To celebrate the first Fab50 bike ride we dropped in at Logie Steading for lunch - Jean's first time there (and probably not her last, me thinks).
Walk 35 The meringues were dee-licious!

Wed 6 June An unexpected bonus of a walk today in the company of the Muir of Ord "Step it Up Highland" walking group. The walk took us round the north and east of Muir of Ord on a beautifully warm and sunny afternoon. Our route back just happened to take in Betty's house where she put on a scruptuous spread of tea, scones, pancakes, shortbread and cream and jam meringues for eight of us - just like that. Thanks to all of you - I look forward getting the photo that was taken - with a non-digital camera (bless).

Walk 34 Loch Kinellan
4 June
Pat, Vikki and I enjoyed this walk on what almost felt like a summer's day. We were able to walk from Pat's back (front) door to Loch Kinellan and up onto the viewpoint above from which we could see 360 degrees of Highland wonder. Pat has set us a task of finding a viewpoint she remembers from years back on Craig Ulladail above the Golf Course. This looks like it could be a painful process through fields of gorse - but looking forward to it in a perverse way. Anyone joining me?
