Walk 27 Milton of Leys
Tuesday 8th May
Ok - so enough of this out in the wilds stuff, time to hit the streets of suburbia. Elaine suggested she and I explored the mysteries of Milton of Leys. This relatively isolated, slowly evolving "settlement" (I'm sure the developers have kinder words to describe it) lies half-way up a hill a few miles south of Inverness with spectacular views towards Ben Wyvis and way beyond. She and I walked from her front door to amble across to the old military road that joins Inverness with Daviot. It really is quite an intresting backwater - a mix of well-established properties and the ever- spreading housing of the City of Inverness. Wonder if the area would be recognisable if we were to do the same walk for my sizzling-60 in 10 years time!! Thanks to Elaine's husband for taking a break from man's work to take the photo!
